Rev. Dr. Teh Francis Yai was born in the Ngwah area of Fundong Central Sub Division, Boyo Division of Cameroon. After sensing the call into the ministry, he went through In-service Bible School, Baptist Evangelical School of Theology, by then Baptist International School of Theology- Fundong. He would later on further theological training education at Redeeming Grace Bible Institute-USA, Freelandia Bible College and Seminary- USA, obtaining Diploma in Theology, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate of Theology Degrees. He was awarded a scholarship in 2016 and was trained at the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurship (BWB- Kanthari) Campus in India as a Social Change Maker. He studied Community Development at the International University of Bamenda, did courses in Intercultural Studies, and in 2023, he was back in India studying Business and Social Change at the BSS Mission.

Pastor Teh Francis Yai has served the church in different capacities, being pastor of Wainchia Baptist Church, Ngvinabum Baptist Church and Grace and Truth Baptist Church Jinkfuin (serving in this church for a period of 21 years). He has been Chaplain of Acha Baptist College, General Secretary of ABCD, Vice Executive President of the Cameroon National Baptist Convention, National Chairman of the CNBC Pastors’ Fellowship and on April 2024, he was elected into the office of the CNBC Executive President.

Teh Francis is also founder of Goodness and Mercy Missions, an organization he founded in 2007 to meet the needs of people with challenges in communities he serves. He has not been comfortable only praying for people and wishing well while there are some needs that could have been tangibly addressed.

Pastor Teh Francis is married to his dear wife Rossel and they both have four children, Ruth, twin boys Joshua and Josiah, and Joseph.
